Accessibility statement
Living Well at Home UK aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA. Following an internal representative review on 31 August 2026, we describe the site as partially compliant while assistive-technology and independent testing remain outstanding. We do not claim independent certification.
The site provides keyboard access, a skip link, visible focus, logical headings, labelled controls, responsive reflow, reduced motion, meaningful links, strong colour contrast and approximately 18-pixel body text. Long guides include an on-page contents list and print control. Navigation, search results, saved-guide updates and filters include additional information for screen-reader users.
Known limitations: the full site has not yet been tested with every browser and assistive-technology combination; no completed programme of testing with disabled people is claimed; and third-party websites linked as primary sources are outside our control. As a workaround, contact us for help locating the same information or request an accessible alternative.
To report a problem or request information in another format—such as large print, Easy Read, audio or a structured document—email webmaster@livewellathomeuk.co.uk. Include the page address and the format or adjustment you need, but do not send medical records, passwords or financial information. We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within five working days.
This self-assessment sampled the homepage, search and filtering, a long guide, nation navigation, mobile navigation, saved-guide controls, printable tools and policy pages. Checks covered semantic structure, labels, contrast, target size, keyboard intent, reduced motion and reflow at a 390-pixel viewport. Further planned checks include NVDA with Firefox and Chrome, VoiceOver with Safari, 200% and 400% zoom, text spacing and forced-colours mode.
This statement was prepared and last reviewed on 31 August 2026. It will be reviewed after material changes and at least annually. Confirmed failures will be published with their WCAG criterion, impact, workaround and target correction date. The next planned review is 28 February 2027.
