How we make money
Living Well at Home UK is free to read. Some equipment guides may contain clearly marked affiliate links, which help cover the cost of running the site.
An affiliate link takes you to a retailer. If you choose to buy through it, we may receive a commission. Clicking an affiliate link never changes the price you pay. You can read the guide, use its questions and look elsewhere without following any buying link.
We currently have no affiliate accounts and no affiliate buying links on the site. This policy explains how clearly marked links may be used in equipment guides in future. There is no need to buy anything to use the information here.
Where an equipment guide has affiliate links, the buying box will explain the relationship before the links. Each link will have an “Affiliate link” label beside it. A link in the guide’s list of official sources is there to support the information, and is separate from any buying box.
Commissions help cover running costs. They never influence what the guides recommend, which questions they suggest asking or which safety concerns they explain. We never accept payment for coverage or reviews. A retailer cannot pay to have a guide written, a concern removed or a recommendation changed.
Health, money and emergency guides never carry affiliate links. Equipment guidance still puts assessment, suitability and the person’s own wishes first. A buying link does not replace an assessment or mean an item is right for everyone. Check the full cost, fitting arrangements and return conditions before deciding.
Our editorial policy explains how guides use their sources. Read About Living Well at Home UK for who operates the site. If a link or its label is unclear, use the contact page to tell us the guide address so we can look at it.
